‘Samvedana Helping Hand’ was started with the in-depth thought of how our lives have changed over the years, and taking care of health has become one of the prime things we must focus on. Everyone is running towards gaining success and money, but very few people concentrate on health. A healthy and fit population is the core of every progressive nation. But seeing today’s generation following an unhealthy lifestyle aches my heart. Many people leave their old parents or disabled family members to survive independently. Is this our progress?

Villages turned into cities, and joint families turned into nuclear families of only 3 to 4 people. The corporate hospital has taken the place of family doctors. In this digital world, people have started to run behind materialistic things rather than taking care of their health. As we have begun to work with machines, even we have turned ourselves to work like machines. And sometimes, when someone can’t help to cope up with work, we usually name them non-useful. Due to this, many handicapped, diseased and elderly have lost their livelihood and importance in the family. As humans, we have developed to make our lives smooth, peaceful, and happy from birth till death. And while improving our lifestyles, we forgot to maintain our health. Which is backbone of everything.

Even in my life, I have faced many situations, where even though being a doctor, I was not able to get out of those situations. Many times when I was on night duty attending patients, my parents fell sick. Rushing them to hospital, the constant worry of their wellbeing never left my mind. I recently received a call from Vivek, who lives in America, requesting me to save his parents, who tested positive for corona.

After seeing his struggles to save his parents, I realized that healthcare had lost its meaning somehow, and the commoner has been dragged through all this without seeing the consequential of the situation. Diseased patients, handicap and elderly, who need constant care and don’t have any family members near them to care will have a massive benefit from a healthcare at-home system. Following this situation, the need and importance of having a healthcare facility at home as ‘Samvedana Helping Hand’ grew in my mind, and I started this facility in 2015. With the help of my wife and son, I decided to build a Healthcare facility at the doorstep, and we have successfully completed six years.

With this initiative, people will get regular health checkups, vaccination, doctor, consulting, physiotherapy, nursing, lab tests, diet guidance, medicine delivery, dental problems, heart patient caretaking, diabetes care, handicap patient care, mental disorder patient counselling, annual elderly health care plans, elderly caretakers and more, in the comfort space of patients home and with minimum wages.

I also observed that with this initiative, people with the need for home healthcare got guaranteed access to a team of well-qualified health caretakers and caretakers got an opportunity to add an extra source of income to their daily life with great exposure and knowledge. I feel delighted sharing that with the help of ‘Samvedana Helping Hand’, not only patients but also health caretakers can benefit from the service. There is yet so much to achieve, but I know for sure that this journey is full of happiness and satisfaction. We started with a vision to provide health care at the doorstep but didn’t realize when we created a patient and health care providers ecosystem. We have successfully helped over 2,000+ patients with our team. With the help of ‘Samvedana Helping Hand’, we are reaching out to you to provide a healthy lifestyle.
